族群都市指標：
1.核心廟宇指標
透過廟宇密度以及廟宇所扮演的角色判斷族群的不同，如本省族群的廟宇常在道路與社區核心位置，而外省社區的廟宇則多是在社區建構完成後才被置入。

2.神明指標
透過不同的神明來判斷該族群屬性，如本省人的媽祖信仰等...

3.公共空間開放性
藉由公共空間的連通與開放程度來判斷社區之屬性，如本省社區的開放空間集中於廟埕，外省社區具相互連通的開放空間等。

4.騎樓指標
在較為老舊的社區中可做為判定的標準，本省社區在建築上幾乎都擁有騎樓(即使深度僅不到二米)，而早期的外省社區幾乎沒有騎樓的設置。

5.國旗指數
國旗可以作為判斷社區型態的良好依據，在大部分的外省社區都可以看到大量的國旗。
